The best Imperial Armor Mod I've seen is this one
http://skyrim.nexusm..om/mods/6085//?
Unfortunately, the gloves are broken. Specifically the light armor seems to have gauntlets that float off the arm a bit in one direction or another, which is impossible to ignore and especially noticable on female characters.
Even the Romans wore pants in europe when the winter struck, the default armor is completely unrealistic and I refuse to believe I'm the only one who's immersion is broken by floating light guantlets and people walking around with their legs exposed with ice all around.

What do you mean, Daedric isn't Full protection?
No doubt there is something in the above list that you don't agree with. Where to see gundam nt movie online play. 'Why did you set things that way?' you might ask.
Here are some of the reasons behind the default W.E.A.R. protection values:
- I want to promote interesting decisions in gameplay. If I gave Daedric and Dragonbone 'full' protection, that's not very interesting because they're already the best armors in the game for other reasons.
- I followed what I felt 'looked' warm or 'looked' revealing.
- I listened to what other people told me they would expect.
- I favored armors that look more rugged, rough, natural, and padded, since that is more fitting with Frostfall's gameplay aesthetic. Cyrodiilic armors such as Steel Plate don't exactly scream 'I have a warm woolen soft kit underneath suitable for winter conditions!'
- I felt that the armor progression should somewhat follow the exposure protection curve, insomuch that the beginning of the game should be more difficult than later in the game.
Because of those reasons, the first sets of armor you're liable to find and equip, Iron and Hide (and if you want to get technical, the prisoner's clothing), are 'Limited' in protection. Most of the rest of the Heavy armors are at least Standard, because to make them any less given their visual appearance would make me a modding criminal. More of the Light armors are considered Limited than the Heavy because it made visual sense to me. However, Fur armor (through Frostfall) is available almost as soon as you start playing the game, so you can get that very early on. Heavy Armor specialists have to wait until Orcish to get their Full set (unless you use Immersive Armors, but even then, I don't think Einherjar, Warchief, and Heroic Stormcloak come cheap). So, I think it equals out.
All this to say.. no, I'm not off my rocker, and yes, I've put a lot of thought into it. There's just not an empirically 'right' way of doing this, so I just had to go with whatever I felt was best fitting the aesthetic design of the armor as well as the gameplay implications.
Thankfully, if you don't agree with my decisions, that's what Inspect Equipment is for. Use it!

An Imperial Guard outside of Riften
Imperial Guards are guards that can be found in Riften, Winterhold, Dawnstar and Windhelm when the Imperial Legion takes over their respective Hold and they act as the military and police force throughout that Hold.
Each guard wears a set of Imperial Light armor, or a set of Studded Imperial armor, an Imperial Light helm, Imperial Light bracers, and Imperial Light boots. Each is armed with an Imperial sword, an Imperial bow, a random number from twelve to twenty steel arrows and a steel dagger. They all carry a set of common clothes. In addition they may carry from one to all of the following: a torch, a food item, and a small amount of gold.
Their primary skills are one-handed, two-handed, archery and block (although they carry no shield.) Their secondary skills are heavy armor and light armor.

Hello everyone and welcome to this week's discussion thread!
First a quick recap of how this works and what we expect:
- Be respectful. These discussions will open the floor to a lot of different opinions of what is fun/good/necessary/etc. Debate those conflicts of interest with respect and maturity.
- Please keep the mods listed as relevant to the topic is possible. Some topics are a bit broad and people can go about them in pretty creative ways, but try to use common sense.
- Please provide a link to the mod, and a brief description of what it does, why it fits the list, what the benefits/drawbacks are.
TOPIC

Skyrim Roman Imperial Armor Replacer
Only two races left to go! This week we'll discuss those milk-drinkers from Cyrodiil. Ya know..I used to side with the Stormcloaks. Sure they're racist as hell but it was the whole 'lesser of two evils' thing. Then I read an interesting comment outlining how the Imperials are simply playing along with the Thalmor while they rebuild their army and Ulfric is just playing into the hands of the Thalmor by giving them a reason to come to Skyrim and destabilize the Snow Tower..so..tinfoil activate..ANYWAYS let's talk about mods used to improve playing as an Imperial!
Mandatory mention of
Imperial Dragon Armor Mod Skyrim
- Imperious - Races of Skyrim by EnaiSiaion
and
- Disparity by kryptopyr
These are the two 'go-to' race overhauls for Skyrim

What mods do you use to improve playing as a Cyrodiilic militant?
